How to Replace an Inner Panel of a Room Divider

Room dividers come in a range of types, including ones that fold. Folding room dividers consist of several panels that when positioned, allow it to stand up on its own. Some folding types are lightweight, such as the Japanese shoji screen, with panels made from paper. If these fragile panels puncture, you can replace it with ease.

Lay the paneled room divider out on a flat surface, such as the floor or large table. Place it in the open position.

Line up your replacement inner panel with the hinges on one of the outer panels. Use a drill to make a starter hole for each screw if necessary. Screw the hinges into place on the new inner panel.
