Cover a large work surface with newspaper. This protects it from paint or glue splatters.
Remove the Plexiglas or glass from the poster or picture frame if it comes with it. Lay the frame down on the work surface. Many large poster or picture frames are sold without any type of glass.
Wipe off the pegboard with a damp cleaning cloth to remove any dust or debris.
Paint the pegboard and picture frame with semigloss paint and a paintbrush. Wait for the paint to dry before continuing. It may require two coats to obtain the coverage necessary. Painting the frame and pegboard is optional, but it is an excellent way to add color to the wall area and complement the existing room decor.
Add the picture frame to the pegboard by gluing it in place with wood glue or using a hot glue gun. Place the glue on the backside of the frame and press it onto the pegboard. Wait for the wood glue to dry according to the directions. Hot glue dries securely within 10 to 20 seconds. This attaches the pegboard securely into the frame.
Flip the framed pegboard over on the work surface.
Attach two D-rings to the back top edge of the picture frame with a screwdriver and small screws. Do this so one D-ring is at the top corner of each end. Saw-toothed picture hangers are another option and you can add them with a hammer and small nails.
