Lay out multiple peel-and-stick tile pieces across the area you wish to tile, such as the bay window's sill or outside edge, to see how many you will need for the project. Use painter's tape to hold up tiles being arranged on the border or surrounding wall. If you are tiling the sill of the bay window and need to make a cut to a piece of tile on the edge, use a pair of heavy shears. Set the tiles aside.
Dip a clean rag into warm, soapy water and wring out the excess. Scrub away any built-up dirt or grime that has accumulated on the area you wish to tile, while rinsing the rag periodically.
Use an adhesive remover for any stuck-on gunk that the soap and water didn't remove.
Dry the area thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Apply the tiles to the chosen area on or around the bay window, one at a time. Peel the paper backing from the tile to expose the adhesive, then place the tile directly on top of the preferred spot. Press down hard over the tile for 30 seconds to secure it before moving on to the next tile.
