Decide if you want to cover the entire sofa or just a section, such as a cushion or only the backing. Take measurements for the preferred area, as well as the measurements of any removable cushions, using a measuring tape. Add 1 inch to each measurement to allow room for seams.
Cut the wrap fabric of your choice into the piece or pieces required to match the measurements. Fold the edges of the fabric in 1/2 inch and secure them with sewing pins.
Stitch the pinned edges of the wrap fabric with a threaded needle or loaded sewing machine. Knot the thread and cut the needle away with a pair of scissors before removing all the pins.
Center any removable cushions, face down, on their designated pieces of fabric. Wrap the fabric up and over the sides of the cushion and secure it with a twist-in upholstery pin.
Drape the wrap fabric made for the sofa itself over the frame. If you're covering the entire sofa, center the fabric over the frame so it falls evenly around. If you're only wrapping part of the sofa, arrange the fabric according to your taste.
Smooth the fabric with your hands to tightly wrap it against the sofa. Secure the fabric to the sofa using a twist-in upholstery pin every 3 or 4 inches along the edges of the frame.
Replace any newly wrapped cushions to the frame.
