Measure the perimeter of the terra cotta pot directly underneath the top lip.
Cut out a piece of medium-gauge craft wire using wire cutters to measure the same measurement as the pot plus 6 inches.
Twist the ends of the wire together tightly using needle-nosed pliers to create a loop.
Wrap the loop around the terra cotta pot, and position the loop underneath the lip.
Pinch the wire loop together so that it is pressed tightly around the lip of the pot with two 3-inch wire loops sticking out on opposite sides.
Twist the loops by three turns, one at a time, using your hands to turn them into tightly wound loops. Bend the twisted loops upward by 90 degrees. This will secure the pot inside the wire and will create two loops that you can hang the pot up with.
Cut two pieces of medium-gauge craft wire using wire cutters to measure 18-inches long each.
Twist one end of each 18-inch wires onto one of the loops using the needle-nosed pliers.
Bring the other two ends of the 18-inch-long wires together and bend them into a 3-inch loop using needle-nosed pliers. Twist the end of the loop onto itself to secure it in place. You can now hang up the wire pot hanger.
