Place your two pieces of identical fleece fabric sheets one on top of the other. Keep in mind that fabric sold in a fabric store is always 36 inches long. You will need to ask for 54 inches, or 1.5 yards of fabric, when you ask an attendant to cut it for you in the store. The design sides should be facing outward on each side. Make sure the edges are lined up as exactly as possible. Lay the fabric sheets on a wide, flat work space.
Cut 1-inch wide strips down the length of each of the sides. Remember that you are cutting through both sheets of fleece at the same time. The strips should be 1 inch wide and about 2 inches deep. When you are done, your fleece sheets will look like they have fringe around all the borders.
Cut a 4-inch by 4-inch square out of each corner of the blanket. This will later help with tying the blanket together.
Pick up one strip on the first sheet, and tie it to the first strip on the second sheet. Continue this process, tying the strips together in double knots until all the strips are tied together. Fold and deliver your snuggler blanket.
