How to Decorate a Tiffany Turquoise Room

Shades of turquoise range from barely-there wisps of blue to bright, unmistakably vibrant hues. Tiffany turquoise, the trademark color of the jewelry store Tiffany and Co., is a mid-range shade of bluish green, which can be incorporated in many ways in any room of your home. Mix Tiffany shades of turquoise into your design scheme to enjoy the cool, clean hue interspersed with many other colors.
  1. Turquoise Walls

    • Turquoise walls set the stage for any room and provide a backdrop for you to layer other colors and textures. For a living room, experiment with paint swatches to determine the right shade for your space. Or, choose a turquoise wallpaper to add both color and graphics to the living room. Pair the turquoise walls with neutral tones such as white, black and chocolate. Tiffany turquoise works with shades of green, coral, fuchsia, lemon, navy and gray. Mix and match different shades of turquoise for a monochromatic look for the living room.

    Turquoise Furniture

    • A single dramatic piece of turquoise furniture can elevate the style of the room. For instance, a settee or chaise reupholstered in a Tiffany turquoise velvet with a shiny, piano-black finish on the wood will act as a showstopper in a den, foyer or living room. Or, paint a set of dining room chairs turquoise and upholster the seats with a lemon yellow fabric. Side tables, sideboards, dressers, armoires and other furniture are ideal candidates for turquoise makeovers. Repeat the bright hue elsewhere in the room to unify the look.

    Turquoise Textiles

    • If you don't want to make a full commitment to turquoise, experiment with turquoise textiles. Silk turquoise drapes, a rich selection of turquoise pillows, paired with a white wool throw can add an oceanic accent hue to a sofa of nearly any shade. For a dining room, add a dark turquoise tablecloth to the table and dress the table with Tiffany turquoise cloth napkins. Another idea is to make a slipcover or reupholster a sofa or armchair with a teal or turquoise fabric.

    Turquoise Accessories

    • For a white room, consider using turquoise accessories to bring the decor to life. Table lamps, hanging drum shade lamps and candles can all be found in a range of turquoise hues. Look for ornate picture frames and mirrors you can spray paint in your favorite Tiffany hue to hang against a white or silver wall. Create a display or turquoise items for a mantle or side table with a collection of turquoise glass and small teal plant pots. Plant a selection of cacti, bamboo or jade plants to balance the turquoise.
