How to Decorate With a Peach Color

Create an accent wall using peach. Painting one wall -- the accent wall -- a different color than the surrounding walls has become a popular trend. Paint the wall with a generous coat of peach-colored paint. Decorate it with objects like photographs or wall mirrors featuring a contrasting or analogous color like rose or blue. The use of the color on one wall will draw the eye to it.

Choose your accent colors according to your decorating goals. Some colors that go well with peach are yellow, burgundy and green. If you want to create a room with a softer look, use these colors in pastels instead of their bolder forms, but make sure that peach is still the primary color you use. If you've chosen the right accent colors, the peach will stand out more because it has other colors to contrast with.

Display peach-colored flowers. Flowers represent a common decorative element in many country styles. Create a corner display with three vases with the tallest one standing in the back. Fill them with peachy flowers like silk roses or tall grasses that have been colored peach. Or, press some dried peach-colored petals and frame them to make an art gallery for your wall. Fill wall vases with peach-colored carnations.

Introduce patterns in peach. For example, if you gravitate toward throw pillows with peach-colored floral patterns, mix them in with some pillows that have stripes, checkers or paisleys in peach. The patterns will go together because you've given them a common color. This brings visual interest to the room without being jarring.

Set up candle arrangements using peach-colored candles. Some places to display candle arrangements like these include the fireplace mantel, the dining room table, or in the bathtub using floating candles.

Hang up wallpaper. Wallpaper featuring peach-colored roses or stripes will bring a dose of both color and pattern to the wall. If you're afraid of overpowering a room with the wallpaper, feature it on only one wall, paper only half the wall, or go with a wallpaper border.
