Room Ideas With Fuschia Walls

A fuschia is a flowering plant whose natural color is a bright pink to purple. This color works well as an accent or as a main wall color to brighten up the rooms in your home. Use the color on one accent wall or on all four walls to bring the vibrant color of spring into your living space. Fuschia goes well with primary colors, and primary color accessories can really make your fuschia walls stand out.
  1. Wainscoting

    • Paint the upper walls of your room solid fuscia and the wainscoting below in fuschia and white stripes. Paint window and door trims in a satin finish white, and add a white silk love seat to the room. Strew the love seat with fuschia watered silk throw pillows, or toss a solid fuschia wool blanket over the love seat. Lay a soft lighter fuschia rug on the floor, and spruce up white or metal base lamps with matching fuschia shades.

    Block Wall

    • Paint one wall in a light fuschia and the other three walls white. Paint two bookcases in a darker fuschia shade, and place one against the fuschia wall and the other against a white wall. Choose an accent color, such as lavender for foam scatter chairs and lounges. Mount a darker purple mirror on another white wall and purple wall sconces with white candles high on the fuschia wall. Hang a row of fuschia plants in a window.

    Oak

    • Make your fuschia walls stand out by decorating your room with warm-toned oak furniture. An oak mission bench against a wall makes both the furniture stain and wall color very prominent. Add oak wooden shades or inside shutters to your windows to continue the oak theme. Weave fuschia ribbon through the shades or shutters as a colorful accent. Upholster the seats of oak chairs with a lighter fuschia material. An oak coffee table with a fuschia runner completes your room.

    Accents

    • Your fuschia walls become the focal point of the room when you decorate with primary and neutral color accents. Cover the floor with a cotton rug whose light color just barely hints at lavender. A plush gray seating arrangement and gray slate hearth and mantel morph from visual targets into accent pieces. A dried floral centerpiece with white roses, green leaves and fuschia straw flowers decorates the mantel while soft cream throw pillows make the seating arrangement comfortable.
