Grapes & Grape Leaves for Decorating

Walls

• Grapes and grape leaves provide several variations of wall design. A Tuscany-themed wall may have a mural featuring a vineyard scene, with purple and green grapes on the vine, or it can consist of a small border design near the top of the wall featuring clusters of grapes attached to each other by leaves. Another option might include a wallpaper design of grapes and leaves on the upper portion of a dining room with wainscoting underneath, or you can even try painting the wall the colors of grapes.

Fabrics

• Incorporate a grape and grape leaf--patterned fabric into your kitchen decor. For a deep purple cornice board, hot-glue faux grape leaves along the top and bottom edge of the board, with several green and purple grapes inside. Decorate your windows with fabric panels that contain the grape print, and tie them back at the side with a grapevine. A purple tablecloth can have a layer of place mats with the grape and leaf motif, and you can make the motif pop even more by placing a table runner with a grapevine motif at the center of the table.

Table Scape

• A table scape continues the grape and grape leaf theme. On a kitchen counter, a glass compote dish can hold a group of green and purple grapes still on the vines. An entryway table in a foyer might showcase a glass fishbowl of faux grape leaves and grapes as a base for a green pillar candle. You can also try filling the compote with a grouping of frosted glass grapes instead.

Accessories

• A wealth of accessories are available in a grape or grapevine motif. Hang a grapevine wind chime in a window next to a wall design of plates with a grape and leaf border on the rim. Group a collection of grape-top bottle corks in a cylindrical vase with a mix of purple and green flowers above. Have a wine bottle holder with a wire metallic grape and grape leaf design sit on a counter and hold several bottles of wine, with coordinating glasses nearby decorated with grapevine charms.
