Solar light appears to us in a bright, white light. However, sunlight contains more than just white light: it can be bent into seven different colors, ranging from red, orange and yellow to green, light blue, blue and purple. Manipulating solar light into these different colors does not require a lot of effort nor materials, and can be done with just a few preparations. This happens because the different colors bend differently when moving through glass, and the white light is separated.

Instructions
1
Locating a good spot for your prism. The sunlight must be strong enough to allow you to change it into different colors. Try this on a cloud-free day.
2
Place the prism on an appropriate surface to be able to manipulate the solar light. It could be a flat surface, but does not need to be.
3
Adjust the sunlight to change between different colors. If you are doing this correctly, you'll receive a spectrum. If the white light does not change into other colors, go over the previous steps again.
