How to Decorate a Volition Box

Decoupage Your Volition Outlet

  Remove the faceplate of the Volition box with the screwdriver. Wipe it with a damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Allow it to dry.

  Match your decoupage colors and design to the decor of the room, and use a solid color or newsprint as the background of your decoupage picture. Place the faceplate onto the background and trace around it. Cut out the background, leaving a little margin to tuck under the faceplate.

  Glue the background picture to the faceplate, wrapping the edges around the back. On top of the background, paste pictures or photos to make an interesting collage. Coat the Volition box faceplate with decoupage paste. Allow it to dry and screw it back onto your Volition outlet.

Painting or Wallpapering your Volition Outlet

  Remove the Volition faceplate with the screwdriver. Wipe it down with a damp cloth and allow it to dry.

  Paint the faceplate with the same paint you used on the room's walls. This will render the outlet less conspicuous. Allow the faceplate to dry and reattach it.

  Wallpaper the outlet with the same pattern that you used on your wall. Match the pattern to the location of the faceplate and trace the faceplate shape on the wallpaper. Cut out the wallpaper, coat it with glue and stick it to the Volition faceplate. Allow it to dry and reattach it.
