Measure the space where you are planning to install the decorative diamond tiles.
Cut out a sheet of cardboard that matches the area exactly.
Use the tiles that you'll be installing to create the layout first on the cardboard. Start with the border if you're including one.
Add the decorative diamond tiles to the cardboard layout. Place tile spacers between each tile in the layout to account for grout lines.
Lay the edge diamond-shaped tiles that will need to be cut over the layout. Use a pencil to mark the edges that need to be cut.
Make the first edge cut using a tile cutter. Then check to make sure the cut tile will fit in the layout. Continue until all edge tiles are cut.
