Use an oxblood-colored leather office chair for a masculine office area. Choose oxblood colored curtains for the windows, provided the room is large enough to support such a dark colored window treatment. Accent the room with walnut, cherry or oak furniture. Use shades of beige, yellow or brown for carpet, wall paint and accent pieces.

Choose an oxblood-colored leather couch, love seat and recliner for a living room or den. Make the deep color of the furniture be the focal point of the room by using light colors to decorate around the furniture. Since oxblood has a dominant red hue, use coordinating colors such as white, cream and gold to keep attention on your primary pieces of furniture.

Oxblood-colored fabric can work throughout a house in a variety of ways such as for tablecloths, dinner napkins, throw rugs, towels, bath mats, throw pillows and blankets. You can toss oxblood-colored pillows and blankets on top of a sleigh bed housing a cream and black comforter to bring an element of drama to a bedroom. A white bathroom can be transformed in to a more formal area by using an oxblood leather wastebasket, oxblood-colored hand towels and a shower curtain with shades of oxblood accenting a neutral base color such as cream.

Use oxblood fabric wall hangings in other areas where using leather furniture or accent pieces is not optional. You can transform a room by simply adding a visually dramatic wall hanging, such as one using an oxblood-colored fabric as a base.
