How to Modernize a Bathroom With Pink & Gray Tile

Pink bathrooms were the height of style during the mid-1950s through the early 1960s, due in large part to the influence of Mamie Eisenhower, the very popular first lady from 1953 through 1961. Mamie loved pink so much she decorated the White House private quarters in pink, causing reporters to name it the "Pink Palace." Pink bathrooms and kitchens still mark many houses from the era, and can look dated, or may simply not be your favorite color to see first thing in the morning.
