How to Decorate a Kitchen Purple and Orange

Paint wood cabinetry trim a clean semigloss white and cover the doors with a light purple. Use a small roller to achieve a smooth, brushstroke-free look.

Attach stainless steel or silver-colored hardware to the cabinet drawers and doors. Brushed metal surfaces hide fingerprints and softly reflect light in the room.

Paint the kitchen walls with less surface area a dark pumpkin orange with an eggshell finish. These are the surfaces that will be above the countertops and above the cupboards.
