Place a curved table in your entryway. Opt for a narrow table that's not too wide. Wide tables make the area look more full and busy, while a narrow table will free up your entryway space. Select a table that's at least 3 feet tall. The table will not only serve as a catch-all for your mail and keys, but can also be an interesting centerpiece for your entryway.
Center a large, decorative vase on your table. Place reeds or other imitation flowers in the vase so you can enjoy the nature-centered appearance year-round without concern for upkeep. Opt for a narrow vase that accentuates the length of your table, rather than a short, stout vase.
Hang a tapestry, poster or thin canvas painting on the wall opposite your entryway table. The length of your plant will be sufficient decoration for one side of the entrance, so take care not to overpower the space with too much decor. A simple wall hanging on the opposing wall will offer a calming, yet fully decorated atmosphere for your entryway. Avoid framed images that may fall easily off the curved wall, and will also make the wall appear cluttered and full.
