Decorating With a Minnesota Viking's Theme

• Hang a gallery of Viking greats. Minnesota Vikings inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame include Carl Eller, Jim Finks, Bud Grant, Randall McDaniel, Paul Krause, Alan Page, John Randle, Fran Tarkenton and Ron Yary. Prints of select players greatly enhance your Viking den, as well as provide conversation pieces. Another poster/print idea is to hang commemorative prints from the Vikings four Super Bowl appearances, Super Bowls IV, VIII, IX, and XI. Although they didn't win, being in the big game is something to be proud of, and reminds you how bad you want a win.

• An interesting Viking decoration idea is to place small pictures or statuettes of real, historical Vikings, along with some accessories, such as swords, round shields, and, if possible, a Viking-horned helmet, in the room. If you care for knickknacks, fill shelves with small Viking- related items, including team player bobbleheads, Viking trading cards, small team emblems and helmets. Begin collecting small Viking mementos to display, which can become prized conversation pieces.

General Football Decorating

• Including generic football decorations is recommended, as it instills the importance of the game along with your Minnesota Viking decor. Place a football, football helmet (a Vikings helmet), and maybe a small Heisman trophy replica somewhere in the room, making it a complete, football-themed entertainment space.
