Dallas Cowboys Decorating Ideas

True blue football fans use team colors and logos for decorating, sometimes in unusual places. Fans of the Dallas Cowboys may not always feel enough team spirit by simply wearing a football jersey. Decorating around the theme of the Dallas Cowboys can be done in a variety of ways.
  1. On the Go

    • If you are a diehard Cowboys fan and spend time in your car commuting to and from work and to and from games; you may want to go all out and make your car a moving shrine devoted to the Cowboys. You can have your car painted either solid white or solid blue and then place decals of the Cowboy star logo on the door panels, hood, trunk and roof. Make sure the star is blue if the car is white, and vice versa. To keep the theme alive use a Dallas Cowboys license plate frame, hang a miniature Cowboys helmet from the rear-view mirror, and throw some blue and white blankets throughout the interior.

    Outdoors

    • Though football season runs during some of the colder months of the year, plenty of opportunity exists to celebrate the game season by hosting outdoor get-togethers to watch games. If you tend to honor big games with lavish cookouts and gatherings, consider decorating your outdoor area with a Cowboys theme. If you have fencing, paint the panels, alternating blue and white. Hang the state flag of Texas outside and use Cowboys-patterned fabric for cushion covers and outdoor umbrellas. Change out light bulbs to blue ones for evening gathering and mount a TV for everyone to see the games. If you really want to enhance the look, plant only blue and white flowers to make guests feel completely immersed in Cowboy pride.

    Man Caves and Dens

    • If you have what some refer to as a "man cave" in your house, go crazy with honoring the Cowboys. Paint walls and the ceiling blue with large, white stars painted on each wall. Buy blue furniture and use white pillows, invest in some Dallas Cowboy stadium blankets and use every piece of Cowboys-related merchandise you come across. Scour flea markets and yard sales for some unique finds.

    Bringing it in the Bedroom

    • For some, the bedroom is the haven where late night games are watched and after-hours sports scores are reviewed. If you fall in this category, try being surrounded by reminders of the Cowboys. Decorate in blue and white, use stars as decorating touches, hang cardboard cutouts of players and cheerleaders on your walls and line a shelf or two with signed helmets and footballs, if you have such a collection.
