Ladybugs & Flowers Design

Decorate a nursery, master bedroom or other area of the home with the bold colors and designs seen on a ladybug along with soft floral touches throughout. A flower and ladybug theme can appeal to both children and adults, depending on how it's done. Buy ladybug decor and make some of your own decor crafts to feature in the room.
  1. Babies' and Kids' Rooms

    • Design a room featuring ladybug and floral designs fit for a pint-sized princess or a new baby girl. Paint the walls light pink and leave the ceiling white. Hang up framed cartoon pictures of ladybugs and flowers. Adorn the crib or bed with ladybug bedding or solid pink and red bedding with black polka dots. Look for plush ladybug pillows, polka dot furniture and other accents to feature in the room. Many department stores carry all sorts of ladybug and floral decor such as rugs shaped like flowers or ladybugs, and even ladybug-themed table and chair sets.

    Parties

    • Feature a ladybug and floral design party theme for your little girl's birthday. Make paper ladybugs and hang these on the walls as added decor. Adorn the food and dessert table along with other ares of the home with solid red and black balloons and balloons with ladybug designs or polka dots. Buy a cake shaped like a ladybug, and use twine string to hang plush ladybugs from the ceiling.

    Kitchens

    • Design a bold ladybug kitchen that really stands out. Paint the walls red and leave the ceiling white. Then paint black polka dots all over the walls in random spots. Feature a ladybug cookie jar, and hang up a few pictures of ladybugs and flowers on the walls. Look for ladybug-themed kitchen towels and other floral accessories that can go in the kitchen.

    Master Bedroom

    • Create a more sophisticated ladybug and flower design in your master bedroom. Paint the walls light colors such as yellow, or leave them white. Hang up framed pictures of real ladybugs resting on roses, daisies and other types of flowers, rather than hanging up pictures of cartoon-style ladybugs. Place white sheets on your bed with a deep red comforter. Adorn your bed with solid-colored red and black pillows. Add a few small red pillows with black polka dots to simulate the ladybug pattern. Bring in a red glider rocking chair, and add a few decorative accents such as large ceramic ladybugs. Place decor like this on your dresser or nightstand. Red curtains also work well in a ladybug room, and you may want to add a few homemade touches such as a ladybug vase filled with flowers. Paint a ceramic vase red, and glue small plastic lady bugs on the vase so they appear to be crawling in different directions.
