Decor Options for Cavaliers

Whether you are decorating for a big game party this weekend, or have decided to revamp your whole house to reflect your love of the Cleveland Cavaliers, there are many decor options available to you. And that doesn't mean that you have to paint your walls bright gold and deep wine, or that you can only hang up one or two posters of your favorite players. You can decorate with as much subtlety or enthusiasm as you like, and use your personal sense of style to guide you.
  1. Photo Wall Mural

    • A wall mural that portrays one of your favorite moments of the Cavaliers in action will always bring back the happy memory of when you first saw it. Some online retailers will make a wall mural out of any digital photograph you send them. You also can purchase extra large sports posters, at sizes of four feet tall and six feet wide, for a similar price. If you are having the mural custom printed from a digital photograph, consider changing the image to black and white for a timeless look.

    Enhance Your Entertainment Center

    • If you are a big fan of the Cavaliers, you probably watch most of their games on TV. Consider decorating the space directly around your television; especially if you have a large area dedicated to watching sports, such as a man cave or a rec room with a large TV. You might want to consider painting your entertainment center cabinet wine or gold -- or buying a recliner in one of those colors. You also could hang something above your television like a Cavaliers team banner or line of pennants.

    Using Wine and Gold

    • Some Cavaliers fans use a wine and gold color scheme throughout their house, covering everything from walls to furniture and ceiling fans. That can look amazing, and make you very happy every time you see it. On the other hand, some fans find that color scheme to be too intense -- or they live with someone who doesn't like it as much.

If you want to incorporate wine and gold in a more subtle way, consider using those colors in pillows, window treatments or dishes and use lighter and more neutral colors for the majority of your furniture and paint. This will allow you to express your love for your team, without overwhelming others -- who don't feel as strongly as you do.

    Framed Souveniers

    • Shadow boxes on your wall which contain team memorabilia will create a great conversation piece and will add sculptural depth to your walls. You can purchase shadow boxes at craft stores or online. The items that you fill them with can be as simple as a collection of ticket stubs from games you've attended or memorabilia that caught your eye in a sports store. You could begin a collection of historic Cavaliers memorabilia, filled with items you buy at auctions, or from other serious collectors.
