Remove the cabinet door from the cabinet frame by unscrewing the hinges using a screwdriver. The hinges must be removed from the cabinet and the door as they are not required for the pull-out cabinet unit.
Remove the shelf from inside the cabinet. Place the shelf on a flat surface. Use the measuring tape and pencil to create a custom-size shelving piece for the pull-out cabinet. Measure 1/2-inch in from the left and right sides of the shelf and draw a line to indicate the measurement. The line must be extended all of the way down the sides, so there is room for the sliding tracks in the cabinet.
Cut the shelf using the table saw. Follow the pencil lines to ensure the shelf is cut evenly and straight. Use the sandpaper to sand away splinters and cracks around the edges.
Line the sliding tracks up to the sides of the shelf and install them on each side using the 1/2-inch screws and the screwdriver. The metal tracks have small holes to indicate where screws can be inserted for installation.
Use the level and the pencil to install the sliding brackets inside the cabinet. Place the brackets inside the cabinet and use the level to make sure they are straight and even. Use the small screws and a screwdriver to manually install the brackets inside the cabinet.
Place the L-shaped shelving bracket at the end of the shelf, so one side of the L-shape is flat underneath the shelf and the other is visible on the end. The visible end will be installed on the cabinet door. Use the small screws and screwdriver to install the L-shape on the bottom of the shelf.
Measure the space between the sliding tracks inside the cabinet to the bottom of the cabinet frame, including the cabinet frame itself. Use this measurement and apply it to the bottom of the cabinet door, measuring upward. Make a mark. Line the L-shape bracket and shelf up to the cabinet door so that the L-shape bracket is installed on your marks. Attach the shelf to the cabinet door.
Slide the shelf with the cabinet door into the shelving tracks inside the cabinet unit. Pull the cabinet door out to test the sliding shelf before loading it with pots and pans.
