Use a screwdriver to remove the cabinets you wish to craft and decorate from the cabinet frame. Place the hinges and hinge-screws aside during the decoration process.
Place various types of molding on the cabinet door until you have found a design you are satisfied with. For example, you may have a rectangular piece for the middle of the cabinet and a straight mold that you want to create a border with. Use a pencil to draw an outline around your chosen molding pieces. Use a level to ensure the lines drawn are straight and even.
Remove all of the molding pieces from the cabinet door. Measure the lines for each of the molding pieces, so you have the total measureents for each. Use a square to create 45-degree angles on molding that will be attached in 90-degree corners.
Cut all of the molding for the decorative cabinet door using a table saw. Remove all splinters using sandpaper.
Apply wood glue on the back of the cut molding and put the molding in place on the cabinet door using the pencil lines as guidelines. Press down firmly on the molding. Use the screwdriver and the 1/2-inch screws to secure the molding on the door.
Reattach the cabinet door on the frame using the hinges and screws removed in Step 1 and using the existing holes.
