How to Put Together a Captain's Bed

For those interested in spacious and comfortable sleep, a captain's bed is right for you. Captain's beds are equipped with a headboard and lower compartment that hides a second trundle-style bed. The trundle bed slides out from under the standard frame and back in when it is no longer in use. A captain's bed provides double the sleeping space without the need for an extra large room. The trundle bed may also be replaced with a a chest of drawers. The instructions that follow are for Atlantic Furniture's captain's bed model, although other types follow a similar pattern.
