# How to Make a Crown for Drapes to Hang From in a Princess Bedroom
Creating a drape canopy or sheer bed canopy for a princess-themed bedroom accents and adds to the fairy-tale decor. While most canopies are hung using a basic embroidery hoop, you can create something more stunning for your little girl’s bedroom with some simple modifications and a costume-store crown.
Things You'll Need
- Tassels or ribbon
- 18-inch-wide embroidery hoop
- Open back crown
- Craft glue

Open up the embroidery hoop and set your drapes inside. You’ll also want to position the hanging mechanism in the hoop. Tassels or ribbon will both work well.

Close up the hoop and tighten the tension to hold everything in place.

Apply some craft glue to the outside of the hoop, being careful to avoid getting any on the fabric.

Press the costume store crown into the craft glue on the edge of the hoop, centering the crown with the front center of the hoop. Set the hoop and crown on a table to dry for two to three hours before hanging the canopy.
