Hello Kitty Bedding Decoration Ideas

Hello Kitty is a well-known character from the Japanese company Sanrio. The white kitten known for its pink or red bow has been around since the 1970s and is seen on hundreds of items, from clothing to home decor. Hello Kitty bed sheets are available in different designs and color combinations, and a room with Hello Kitty bedding can be decorated in just as many ways as there are Hello Kitty products.
  1. Walls

    • One way to choose a color for your walls is to pick one of the colors from your Hello Kitty bedding. However, if your Hello Kitty bedding has only two colors, such as pink and white, you can paint your walls mint green, which is pink's complementary color -- the color directly across from it on the color wheel. Painting your walls white is another option, no matter what colors are in your Hello Kitty bedding. Since your bedding is already printed, it's best to paint your walls one solid color to keep the room looking balanced and less cluttered. However, if you want something more than a solid color on your walls, you can decorate with a Hello Kitty wallpaper border around your walls.

    Window Treatments

    • Window treatments can match your wall color or your bedding. For example, decorate with violet window treatments if you have violet walls. Another way to decorate is to choose a color from your bedding and choose window treatments in that color. Likewise, pull the look of the bedroom together by decorating with window treatments in the same print as your bedding.

    Furniture

    • White furniture looks best in a room with Hello Kitty bedding, because it balances the brightness of the pastel colors. You can, however, decorate with accent pieces, such as a clear acrylic chair or a chair or armchair in one of the colors in your bedding. Decorating with one or two pieces of Hello Kitty furniture, such as a Hello Kitty armchair or a Hello Kitty table, is also appropriate.

    Accessories

    • A room wouldn't be complete without Hello Kitty accessories, including table lamps, an area rug, alarm clock or a switch-plate cover. Accessories, however, don't have to be all Hello Kitty. As with the other elements in your room, decorate with accessories based on the color or colors found in your bedding. For example, accessorize with a red area rug, violet throw pillows or pink lamps. Displaying Hello Kitty toys on a shelf is another way to accessorize a room with Hello Kitty bedding.
