How to Make Scentsy Bars Last Longer

Scentsy bars contain food-grade petroleum-based wax scented with fragrance oil. The design of the bars allows you to place one or more in the Scentsy brand electric warmer, where it will melt and release your chosen fragrance into the air. Since Scentsy warmers don't use a flame -- only electricity, much like that of a lamp -- you can opt to have them on constantly. Yet, the longer the warmer stays on, the more scent releases and the faster the bars need replacing. Fortunately, you can make your Scentsy bars last longer with the help of another plug-in device.

  Find the segments located around the dial of the plug-in timer. Locate the times that you want the timer to start and end each day, such as 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Segments of time will vary according to the particular product, such as 15- or 30-minute segments.

  Push the appropriate start and end time segments down and away from the dial with the end of a pen or pencil. Push down all of the segments in between the start and end times also.

  Plug the timer into an outlet next to where the Scentsy warmer will sit. Plug the Scentsy warmer into the timer's outlet. Turn the Scentsy warmer's switch to the "On" position; it will not work with the timer unless it's on. The timer will turn the warmer on and off at the designated times.
