How to Make a Floating Candle Centerpiece

When it comes to planning a wedding, most brides are eager to find ways to save money. Making your own centerpieces is an excellent way to do this. With just a little time and effort, and not much money, anyone can make their own floating candle centerpiece to display at their upcoming wedding. Here's how.

Things You'll Need

  • Large floating candles
  • Medium-size glass bowls
  • Colored glass stones
  • Silk rose petals

Instructions

    • 1

Make a trip to your local craft store, as all of the items for the centerpiece should be available there. Since you will most likely be buying in bulk, let the cashier know you are buying these items for your own wedding. Sometimes they will give you a break on a large order such as this, as long as the items aren't already on sale.

    • 2

To make the candle centerpiece, place enough of the glass stones in the bowl to completely line the bottom.

    • 3

Place the centerpiece on its respective table and fill it a little more than half full of water.

    • 4

Gently place the floating candle on the water.

    • 5

Spread the silk rose petals around the base of the bowl.

    • 6

Repeat steps 2 to 5 for the remaining centerpieces, lighting each candle just before the wedding reception begins.
