How to Hang a Hammock Inside With Knots

When you enjoy lounging in a hammock, you may not want to lay outdoors where you can be attacked by bugs or get rained on. One solution is to hang up a hammock indoors. This enables you to pretend that you are relaxing on a beach in your hammock without having to leave your living room. You can hang up a hammock in your home using a few basic supplies that can be found at any hardware store.

  • Hammock with rings

      Cut a piece of heavy twine with scissors to measure 36 inches long.

      Loop the twine through the rings on one side of the hammock, then place the ends of the twine together. Tie a knot into the doubled twine, positioning the knot close to the hammock.

      Wrap the ends of the twine around a support beam in your home. Using a support beam will ensure that the hammock will remain stable and safe for use inside your home. Tie the ends of the twine into a square knot to secure the twine in place.

      Cut a second piece of twine using scissors to measure 36 inches long.

      Thread the twine through the rings on the other side of the hammock, then place the ends of the twine together, as before.
