How to Decorate a Lighted Arch

Choose decorations for your lighted arch. Add to the beauty of your lighted arch with balloons, garlands, flowers or lengths of fabric such as tulle and lace. Pick your decorations based on the color and stylistic theme of the event for which the arch is being used. Consider the overall visual effect of adding any decoration to the arch in making your choice.

Gather the quantities and types of decorations you want to use on the arch. Hobby, craft, fabric, and even dollar stores carry varying quantities of items that can be added to a lighted arch. Measure the arch before purchasing fabric, garlands and other decorations to make sure you buy enough material.

Attach your decorations to the arch. You may need to use a ladder to access tall arches. Some materials such as fabric lengths and garlands can be loosely draped around the arch without adhesives. Others, such as balloons and flowers, will need to be attached more securely. Depending on the material the arch is made of, you may be able to use tape or pushpins to attach the decorations. For balloons, tie lengths of string from the balloon to the arch.
