Instructions

    • 1

Lay down photographs of the cast members on your table and place a clear glass chess board over the pictures. You can find clear glass chess boards that measure about 14 by 14 inches. You can find pictures of the cast on the Internet or on the jacket folds of the DVDs. If you use the DVDs, slide the paper jacket out of the box.

    • 2

Locate a clear glass cylinder vase. Make sure the glass is clear and not colored, because you'll want to see through the vase to be able to look at the contents inside.

    • 3

Set the vase into a shallow, clear glass bowl that measures about 10 inches wide.

    • 4

Fill the vase with an assortment of apples. You may recall that the front cover of the "Twilight" book featured a pair of hands holding an apple, and this element represents one of the iconic images of the "Twilight" series. To bring variety to your centerpiece, choose a variety of apple types and colors. You can even feature some smaller apple types like crab apples. They shouldn't be all red, because you want to bring a bit of color to the centerpiece.

    • 5

Tie a red ribbon around the top of the vase and fasten it with a bow. The red ribbon appears on the cover of "Eclipse."

    • 6

      Fill the bowl with water.

    • 7

Sprinkle the petals of tulips, freesia, roses and orange blossoms into the water. These represent the flowers that figure prominently in the "Twilight" series. The tulip is the star of the front cover of "New Moon" and the other flowers decorated Bella's wedding in "Breaking Dawn." Drop a few rose-shaped floating candles into the water as well.

Place a few of the chess pieces on the clear glass board. Chess is a dominant visual icon for "Breaking Dawn" in the "Twilight" series.
