Instructions

    • 1

Start with a plain, unfinished wooden frame that matches your picture's size. these frames come in many different shapes such as standard rectangles or more elaborate deigns such as diamonds or hearts.

    • 2

Paint the entire front of the frame with a solid color. Choose a craft paint that matches the room's color scheme or reflects your child's gender. For a special effect, create your own custom color by mixing a few different shades and hues. Set the painted frame aside to dry.

Add a personalized touch. Tape letter stencils onto the frame's surface and paint in a contrasting color. Spell out the baby's name or a cute phrase such as "Precious Angel" or "My Baby." Peel the stencils off and set the painted frame aside for the letters to dry.

Coat the entire front of the frame with a layer of clear drying glue. Use the paint brush to spread the medium over top the paint. Place the frame aside to dry.

    • 5

Give the frame an added flare with cut ribbon and/or glitter. Customize this to the picture itself by choosing a ribbon or glitter color that matches what the baby is wearing in the photo. Tie the ribbon in a bow and glue to the frame or sprinkle glitter over top the wet glue layer. Set aside to dry.
