How to Use a Kodak Pulse

Digital picture frames let you display a wide assortment of photos on one frame. The Kodak Pulse digital picture frame allows you to send photos right from your computer to your frame. You can also let your friends upload photos from their computers directly to your Kodak Pulse. All you need to do is set up a Kodak Pulse account, sync it with your new frame, and then set up the picture frame.

  1. Setting up your Account

      Register a Kodak Pulse account at kodakpulse.com.

      Go to your email account. Open the email "Verify your new account," which Kodak should have mailed you after you completed registration. Click the Verify link.

      Click the "[Yourname] is using this frame" button.

      Enter a name for your frame in the text field. For example, you could enter "My Frame," or "Frame in bedroom."

      Enter the activation code for your Kodak Pulse. You can find a six-digit activation code on the Kodak Pulse screen during initial setup. You can also find a 12-digit activation code on the side of the box, above the UPC barcode. Either code will work.

      Click Add Frame.

      Select Setup Wizard. Follow the on-screen instructions to add pictures to the frame from your computer, and create your frame's email address. You may also access online pictures and invite guests to share your frame.

      Add pictures to your frame by emailing the pictures to your frame's email address, or by signing into your Kodak Pulse account and clicking "Add pictures."

    Using the Frame

      Plug one end of the included power adapter into your Kodak Pulse digital frame. The power jack is located on the back panel of the frame, near the bottom. Plug the other end of the power adapter into an electrical socket. The frame will automatically turn on.

      Use your finger to tap "English" on the language selection screen.

      Press "Start" on the Network Setup Wizard.

      Select your wireless network from the list. Your frame will automatically connect.

      Tap the screen. This will bring up menu options. Tap the picture sources button. The picture sources button depicts a human figure with a white square above his shoulder.

      Tap one of the available picture sources, such as "Added by you" or "Friends from Web." This will display all the photos you have uploaded to this category. Alternatively, you can tap the "Play all" button to view all of your pictures.
