Find removable, reusable snowflake decals to stick on the walls of your home. The decals work best if you have smooth walls instead of textured walls. Snowflake decals come individually or in borders that attach to the wall along the ceiling or around the wall at the middle. When taking them off the wall in anticipation of spring, lay them flat between layers of waxed paper and put them in a box or a plastic zipper bag for use next year.
Make quilted snowflake wall hangings to decorate your home. Quilted wall hangings come in a wide variety of sizes, from a 2-by-2-foot square all the way up to a large bed quilt. If you know how to sew, choose from a wide variety of snowflake patterns. These patterns range in difficulty from easily appliqued to more difficult snowflake piecing. Use the same quilt hanger on the wall and swap out your quilted wall hangings with the different seasons of the year.
Metal snowflakes add an interesting look to the winter décor of your home. Find metal forged snowflakes at craft shows or at specialty craft shops. Many times, metal snowflakes come in a rustic color that makes the metal looked distressed. However, you can change that with a can of spray paint. Use a type of spray paint designed for metal and that prevents rust from seeping through. You will need at least two coats of a good spray paint, and maybe up to three or four.
Hang pictures or drawings of snowflakes. A grouping of pictures of small snowflakes works just as well as a larger picture of one lone snowflake or a lot of snowflakes. Winter scenes with lots of snow can fit into your snowflake theme. Put a puzzle of snowflakes together as a family, spread glue all over it to hold the puzzle together and frame it to add another interesting aspect to your snowflake wall décor.
