How to Display Your Kid's Tractor Collection

Encourage your child to collect toys or figures of things he enjoys, such as tractors. Building a collection can teach your child different lessons, such as saving for a new tractor, how to take care of his prized possessions and making choices when it comes to managing his collection. Avoid letting his tractor collection get out of control by designating a display area and storing the others, or getting rid of a tractor to introduce a new one to his collection.

Instructions

    • 1

Assess the size and quantity of your child's tractor collection to determine how much space you'll need to display them. If space is limited, select the area to display them and allow your child to choose which tractors she wants to display and put the rest away. You can rotate the tractors on display for a fresh look.

    • 2

Display the tractors on shelves, the dresser, the window ledge or another solid surface. Use a bookshelf or series of wall shelves to display the tractors if some tractors are for display only, while others are OK to play with. The tractors that your child plays with should be on lower display areas he can easily reach.

    • 3

Set a complete scene by painting a mural behind the display area where the tractors become a part of the scene, such as a farm scene. Add smaller figures or toys, such as farm animals, trees or a barn to complete the scene.
