Choose a hanger that fits the size and shape of your ceramic tray. Appropriate hangers can be found at hardware, home improvement, discount or department stores or online at a variety of websites.
Use a wrought iron hanger because the ceramic tray is heavy. Wrought iron, as opposed to aluminum, will be better able to handle the weight of the tray.
Locate a stud in your wall using an electronic stud finder. Mark the stud with a pencil. A heavy ceramic tray with a heavy hanger must be supported by a stud.
Use a hammer and nails to install the bracket or hook for the hanger you're using. Be sure to drive nails directly into the stud to support the weight of the tray.
Place the hanger over the bracket or hook and then put the ceramic tray on the hanger.
