However, you will need to use caution when hanging the ceramic tray on your wall, particularly if it is very heavy.   Locate a stud in your wall using an electronic stud finder. Mark the stud with a pencil. A heavy ceramic tray with a heavy hanger must be supported by a stud.

  Use a hammer and nails to install the bracket or hook for the hanger you're using. Be sure to drive nails directly into the stud to support the weight of the tray.
