How to Display Indian Relics

Indian relics or artifacts can be used as decorative pieces around your home. Some pieces may have been used at one time for hunting, clothing or for other daily tasks and may include arrowheads, feathered and beaded clothing or pottery. Like other pieces of home art, there are a variety of ways to showcase these pieces around your house. This is something that almost anybody with a little home decorating experience can complete.

Instructions

    • 1

Hang your relics on a wall. This may be a useful method for a bow and arrow or clothing. Find your wall studs with a stud finder. Slide the stud finder over the wall until it lights up or beeps. Mark the studs with a pencil. Tap nails or picture hangers into the studs of your walls with a hammer. Tie a string around your relic. Hang the string from the nail or nails.

Drape Indian materials over furniture or the floor. Placing an Indian blanket over the back of a sofa or chair can add color to your room. Thicker blankets or rugs can be laid on the floor.

Display heavier pieces in a display case, in a bookcase or on a table. Place small statues or figurines on shelves of a case. Place handmade clay pottery on a table in your kitchen.
