How to Scale a Photo

Photography is an art that captures memories to cherish forever. Most people focus on a subject, without worrying about what is in the background. However, sometimes you want to make adjustments to digital photo's dimension. Scaling a photo is the process of enlarging or shrinking a photograph, in order to emphasize a specific detail in the picture.

• Internet connection
• Digital copy of image

     Choose the photograph you would like to scale. It needs to be in a digital form. Upload the photograph to an online scaling program.

     Use the arrows on each side of the image to crop or enlarge the viewing area. Pulling an arrow up will allow the user to hide the bottom of the picture, whereas moving an arrow farther from the center enlarges the viewing area.

     Once you are finished scaling your picture, save it as a jpg onto your desktop.
