Paint the wall on which you'll hang the Art Deco etched mirror; create a focal wall by painting the other walls around this one with a contrasting or complementary color. Choose a color that was popular during that era, such as peacock blue or emerald green, or go for a complete contrast by painting the walls with a black semigloss paint.
Hang the mirror at eye level in the middle of the wall. This puts the mirror in a central position, drawing attention to it.
Add some candle sconces to the wall next to the mirror. Choose sconces that have lamps designed with colored glass mounted on wooden or metal pedestals. Select a metal such as pewter or silver. Look for items that appear to be Egyptian in design; Egyptian art influenced the Art Deco style greatly.
Emphasize the mirror's reflective quality by hanging a Deco-style shelf directly underneath the mirror. Find candles and candle holders that match your wall sconces; look for ones with gemstone colored glass. Burn the candles to create a soft reflective glow in the etched rectangular mirror.
Choose some smaller Art Deco–style artwork to position around the rectangular mirror. Select artwork that's framed with Deco's geometric patterns. Look for items that are also rectangular in shape or position two or three smaller pictures so that the overall shape of their configuration looks rectangular. Finally, add a bit of visual contrast to the display by mixing in some small prints that have Art Nouveau frames; this style preceded Deco and many times appear in the same galleries.
