Choose two black and white photos of you during pregnancy and two photos of your baby at birth. You might consider a photo of the baby’s feet and the baby’s face, or perhaps a photo of you and your partner holding the baby for the first time. The photos should show the progression from early pregnancy through the birth of your baby.
Crop the photos into squares of the same size. Place them in square frames in the same or complementary colors. For example, you could choose white frames with pastel mats that complement the colors of the baby’s room.
Hang the pictures so that they form a square or a straight line.
Match the tone of the room’s décor. For example, if your nursery is decorated in primary colors, choose frames in those colors. If your décor has more of a vintage feel, choose vintage-style frames. For a nursery full of natural wood furniture, choose frames that match the color of the wood grain.
Choose pictures that complement each other -- for example, all black and white, all color or all sepia.
Create balance. You can incorporate as many pictures and frames as you want in a variety of shapes and sizes. The important thing is to make sure your display is balanced. For example, put a large photo in the center with smaller ones around the outside.
Include other elements in your wall art. For example, you can group pregnancy photos around a framed baby shower invitation or a picture of baby’s first footprints.
Hang a wide ribbon above the baby's crib using oversize thumbtacks. Hang a small photo frame from each thumbtack.
