The hanging shelf ledge protrudes from the drywall.

Use decorative L-brackets or screwed on dowels. Alternatively, chains or three-stranded Manila ropes that suspend the shelf like a triangle also work.

Frame the stained glass art. Use a frame that is consistent with the decor style of the room and has minimal backing to allow light to shine through.

    • 3

Prop the frame on the ledge against the drywall, forming a triangle when seen from the side.

    • 4
Place a light source between your drywall and propped stained glass.

Place a light source or candle behind the stained glass, between the wall and the glass art, maximizing the translucence and glow of the stained glass art. If using a candle, be sure it is safely enclosed in a tall votive, closed lantern or similar.

Unroll the mosaic in its fiber mesh backing. Peel off its paper backing, wiping off any excess glue.

    • 8

Wipe off excess grout with a damp sponge (not wet) and an artist’s paintbrush to reveal all details. Let dry for two days or more.
