Slide your fingernails on the right side between the glass and the face frame. Pull the face cover toward you and then to push it to the left to open it.
Move the minute hand, or the larger of the two hands, with your finger clockwise until you feel a click near the number "6" at the bottom of the face. You should hear the clock chime.
Push the minute hand up to the "12" at the top of the clock until it clicks. Count the number of chimes. This will tell you if you need to adjust the clock. The chimes should match the number where the hour hand, or the smaller piece, sits. For example, if the hour hand is over the seven, you should her seven chimes. If you only hear five, the clock requires adjusting.
Set the hour hand to the current time. If it is "7:00," move the hour hand until it is over the number "7" on the clock face.
Turn the minute hand around the face clockwise past the "12" and stop at two minutes before half past the hour. This means you should stop two marks before the number "6" at the bottom of the clock face.
Slide the minute hand counterclockwise up to the number "2" on the clock face. Wait for the clock to chime. Repeat this process of moving the minute hand to 2 minutes before half past the hour and back to the number "2" for each hour you must advance the chime. If you are setting the current time at "7:00," but only hearing five chimes, you will repeat this action twice.
Move the minute hand to the correct spot on the clock for the current time once you have the proper chime setting. For instance, if the time is currently "7:20," move the minute hand over the number "4" on the clock face.
