How to Change a Pump in a Frigidaire Washer

The pump on a Frigidaire washing machine is responsible for removing all of the water from the wash tub and sending it out of the appliance to the stand pipe or laundry tub. If the pump fails, the water will remain in the washing machine. To repair the appliance, the washer must be disassembled, the old pump removed and a new one installed. Before performing any repairs to a washing machine, disconnect the appliance's power source.
