How to Install a Whirlpool Duet Dryer Door Frame Ring

The door frame ring is a piece of trim attached to the front of your Whirlpool Duet dryer. The door frame ring surrounds the door opening and is removed to provide full access to the drum, usually before it is removed from the appliance for repair. Once you have finished working on the dryer, you need to re-install the door frame ring before you can begin attaching the other panels and trim.

     Turn the door frame ring up the right way so the keyhole bolt holes are at the top. Keyhole bolt holes are wide at the top and narrow at the bottom.

     Push the ring in position around the drum and lift, raising the drum. Hook the panel's keyhole bolts onto the screws in the front of the appliance, and lower it.

     Tighten the screws at the top of the ring to secure it in place. You can now begin replacing the remaining panels as necessary.
