Troubleshooting Springs on a Kenmore Washer

Your Kenmore washing machine has four suspension springs that are located on the bottom of the wash tub. The springs allow the wash tub some play to move, while remaining well supported. If one or more of the springs is broken, then tub may become unbalanced. In this instance, you must remove the washing machine's outer cabinet and then replace the broken spring with a new one. Before disassembling your washing machine, be sure to turn off the washer's breaker in your home's service panel or unplug the appliance from the wall outlet.
