How to Install a Door Latch on a Whirlpool Duet Front Load Washer

GE front load washers require a tight seal at the front of the machine to prevent leaks while the washer is running. A rubber gasket handles the majority of the sealing responsibilities. The door latch catches the door and ensures that it's sitting flush with the front of the machine. The latch also needs to sit flush for the washer to run at all. Repairing a faulty latch is a cheap repair. Obtain GE parts from a reputable dealer.
