How to Replace the Coil Valve in a Kenmore

If you own a gas powered Kenmore dryer, the gas line is connected to the back of the appliance and it runs through to the gas assembly behind the dryer's drum. When the dryer is not heating properly during a drying cycle, then you may have a broken part within the gas assembly, such as a broken coil valve. You can remove both coil valves from the burner assembly and inspect the parts to see if they are cracked or broken. You may order a new coil valve part from a Kenmore manufacturer or buy it from an online retailer.

Pull the entire burner assembly forward and through the drum and pull out the wire connectors from the assembly with your hands.
