How to Fix a Sagging Apron On a GE HydroWave

If your GE HydroWave washing machine becomes noisy, it can be difficult to determine the exact cause. One of the most common causes of a noisy washing machine is a sagging apron underneath the front cover. The apron helps to hold the washer's motor bracket away from the bottom of the washing machine. Once you've determined that a sagging apron is the cause of the extra noise coming from your HydroWave washer, you can replace the bracket.

Remove the front cover of your HydroWave washer to verify that a sagging apron is the cause of your washer's problem. The apron is the metal bracket across the top frame. As the apron sags, you will notice that the motor bracket rubs against the bottom of the washing machine.
