How to Install Oatey Quiet Pipes

Water gains significant momentum when it is flowing. When flowing water stops suddenly, the water can move pipes and cause them to bang against house framing or other pipes. A washing machine's valves turning on and off sharply can cause this banging pipe problem. Oatey Quiet Pipes solve the banging problem by slowing the water gradually. They install between washing machine hoses and the spigots they connect to.
