As with any repair, you need to remove the front panel to see into the machine. Open the lid and unscrew the two screws holding the panel in place. Then gently pull down and slide the panel out. Once the panel is off, start your washing machine and observe exactly where the leak is occuring in the injector nozzle.
The first and most common place to find leaks in the injector nozzle is in the hose. Over time, the hoses become thin and can easily crack. Once cracked, water can easily leak through the hoses. If this is where the leak is coming from, remove the old hose and take it to an appliance repair center for a replacement.
On some occasions, you may see the leak halfway up the nozzle. This happens when the internal washer within the nozzle cracks. To get to this piece, remove the nozzle and disassemble. The washer will be in the center where the nozzle opens and closes.
Leaks at the tip mean that the nozzle is stripped. You’ll need to take the nozzle to the appliance repair store and get a new injector nozzle. When installing, gently hand-screw components and only tighten with a wrench by 1/2 turn.
